We have had a zip line at our house for about a year now but it has been between 2 trees that the kids would have to climb up. Two trees fell down while we were in Colorado and yesterday was clean up day for Brad and Joe. After the clean up all of the trees, they both wanted to get the zip line going in the lake...a good excuse to get in the water because they were so hot and sweaty from working so hard. They worked for a long while on it yesterday and then Brad finished up moving all of the logs under the line this morning...
You should have seen Carson's eyes the first time he went down it...HUGE! It goes
fast because it is on such an incline. Carson did it 3 times this morning and then he said "I will do some more tomorrow!" We wanted him to get used to it because we have friends coming over this afternoon to try it out too...how much fun to be a boy his age on this farm today!
The band around Carson's head is because he had tubes in his ears (his 4th set). So this year so we could be our "normal" selves and play in the lake and the Strong River...we got this great invention for Carson and Toby! You put the ear plugs in and then put this soft band around their head and it keeps the plug (putty) in the ears...it is great! I'm just so proud that we can play in the lake together.
Gage is not as wild about the water as the other 2 boys. He is very cautious! And is very proud of himself of the every little accomplishment (trick as he calls it) he makes in the water.
Pathetic picture of my Sweet Toby. He was made because I had just put his ear band-it on him and he pulled it off and I popped his hand and told him no and put it back on . I will have to get pictures of him in the lake...he absolutely loves it and is so relaxed.
