Roosevelt fun again...

Ahhhh...the weekend before my girls summer camp started we got away for the weekend to Roosevelt once again and it was so much fun. Gage loved being flipped in the water by Megan.
Me with my crew...love these 4
This was too cute of Brad holding Gage and Toby. Oh and they love it too...
Megan got asked to tube with this family who was sitting on the beach with us. She had an absolute blast out there. She told the guy he couldn't throw her...well he showed her!
Then Carson got a chance to ride with this little guy and they had a blast!
Roosevelt is our new favorite spot. 30 minutes from home. Our camp spot is right across the lake and so easy to just go swim and then run back to the camper if we need to. My 4 boys and 1 girl just love this spot. Plus you meet some nice neighbors. Carson was not with us most of the weekend b/c he met some friends next door with 2 little boys and they rode bike all weekend. Megan found a boy that played the guitar and he came and sang to us...lots of memories made!

These boys are cute ups and I totally eat them up!

Enid Lake during Spring Break

It was nice to get away for a couple of days during the first part of Spring Break. We are the kink of people who like to get away for 2 to 3 nights...then we start wanting to be home again. What can I say...we are home bodies. I guess that is why camping is for this crew of mine.
Napping away. I was laying next to him for about an hour...it was a nice nap!
It was a very chilly weekend. We had to stay in most of the time and really bundled up when we went out. It was really the wind! But we enjoyed it and never complained!
All 5 kids watching a Barbie movie!
Watching cartoons with Daddy.

Enid Lake 5 of 5 (Nov 09)

Sunday morning I walked out of my camper and this is what I saw...
Toby being silly at breakfast...
Gage just being silly playing on the rocks...
Gage hitching a ride with Daddy!
And Toby hitching a ride with Mama!
We had a wonderful time just relaxing. Can't wait for our next trip. We will probably have to wait until Spring Break...already planning though. One thing I love about this camping thing is that my kids love it, we are all together, and they never ask when do we have to come home...ok that was more that one but I love this camping thing. Couldn't do it without the Hamby's though...they have taught us too much about it. There is a lot of planning, packing, and tricks to learn. They are old pros at this and I'm sure glad that we can learn from them. Thanks Hambys for such a super weekend and ALL you did for us.

Enid Lake 4 of 5 (Nov 09)

Gage telling everyone that he is at Enid Lake camping and having fun!

This is the "cool" game these kids created on our camping trip. They used Toby's old riding toy and would ride it down the steep hill.

Enid Lake 3 of 5 (Nov 09)

Gage love the fire. He saw ants on one of the logs on the fire. He wanted the ants to be able to escape so he found another stick and propped it up against the burning log to the ants could escape.
Carson and Tyler throwing rocks into the lake.
Ummmm...the beautiful sunset from our camper!
Loving this man and this sunset!
Trey and Tina who have taught us MUCH about camping!
I have videos tomorrow...

Enid Lake 2 of 5 (Nov 09)

I was trying to be a nice mom and make cupcakes. Don't know if I'll do that one again for camping just because cupcakes are SO messy. I will do something sweet and a little less messy. Plus Gage wanted cupcakes for breakfast every morning and I had to fight that lovely battle!
Tyler putting a worm on Bradley's head...
Trey kept a fire going the entire weekend and it was great!
Gage-man posing for a cute picture...check out the background...yep that was our view!
Our camper became grand central station for cartoons...(I loved it)
Carson, Toby , and I relaxing on the couch in the camper and watching some cartoons...
Yes...still more to come tomorrow.

Enid Lake 1 of 5 (Nov 09)

We headed to Enid Lake on Friday for a fun weekend...a last hoorah before we had to winterize it for the next couple of months. We stayed at Wallace Creek this time and it was beautiful...I have lots of pictures to share.

Toby walking over to the Hamby's camper to visit.
Bradley and Trey cooking bacon and eggs for breakfast.
On the way up there Friday Toby did not nap...he has not ever just NOT taken a nap. So Friday night came around and I just knew he would crash...well I was WRONG! It was a horrible night of sleep for he and I. Saturday after lunch this little boy was so worn out...it did not take him long at all to crash on his bed!
This is our camper and the beautiful view that we had. We were right on the tip of the bluff. Last time we were here at Enid Bradley rode us around and he took me over to Wallace Creek. I saw this camp spot and made the commen to Brad "I sure wish we could camp there but I knew we would never get that pretty spot because it is the best on the lake." Well, guess what spot God surprised us with...yep...spot 28...the best on the lake!
Gage, Tyler, Carson and Drew coloring rocks with sidewalk chalk.
It was a weekend of football watching. (Thanks Gage-man for the photo shoot)
more to come tomorrow...

Fishing Rodeo at Enid

Saturday morning bright and early we went to our first fishing rodeo. It was fun for the first 30 minutes...we (Carson, Gage, Tyler, and Drew) caught 9 fish after that...no fish and lots of rain...YUCK! This was the crew before the fishing began. It was our family, Trey and Tina's family, and both of their parents...lots of fun with lots of people even if it was raining.

Me with my boys getting ready to catch some catfish.
Gage was way more interested in the mud!
Carson was so proud when he caught his one fish.
All the cane polls and corks...
Gage got bored with fishing and decided to go watch his catfish in the bucket and count them.
Toby watching the catfish...he would laugh when they would move around in the bucket.
Setting up for the photo shoot of the fishmen with their catch.
Carson with his fish he caught!
4 kids and 9 catfish
We had so much fun. We are already making plans to return next year!
