Upward 2010 Game 5

It was a good game. There were 2 out so they just played 3 on 3.
Daddy doing a little "coaching" from the sidelines when Carson was having to sit out his quarter to make the teams an even number. He's just not aggressive enough for his daddy right now!
He made several baskets and had good attitude...so I was happy!

Upward 2010 Game 4

Game 4...I took all 3 boys alone. Brad was at deer camp in V'burg and Nana and Slick were in Cleveland at a swimmeet. But the boys did great for me...whoohoo!
Carson had an attitude the 1st quarter, had to sit out the 2nd quarter b/c they have 5 on their team and they play 4 on 4, I talked to him about his attitude for the rest of the game, he said he'd changed, he did. On the way out to the van afterwards he said "mama, I got an attitude 2 times but after you talked to me I did not have any more attitudes...I did good." I kissed him.
There was quite the aggression during the entire game from both teams...pushing, attitudes, ugh...not good. Coach Casey really fussed at them afterwards and I think it helped!

Carson made 4 pts...you go my super basketball player boy!

Upward 2010 Game 3

Game 3 went good. Carson made 2 baskets. They are really learning the "game" of basketball. It is a very complicated game to learn for a kindergarden team.
Mom says that she can always find Carson in the pictures...just find the RED shoes!
Coach Casey had to work at the bank. Brad was her fill in coach and he did a great job.
After the game, we all lined up to form the spirit line to support the next 2 games. Nana, Slick, and GG were able to come watch Carson play.
Ummm...look who dressed themselves. All the way down to the cowboy boots. O and he was so proud of his fashion statement that he was making.

Upward 2010 2nd Game

Game 2. Carson knew lots more about the game of basketball.
He was much more aggressive.
He got hit in the eye by another player. Cried. Ran to his daddy. Went back in the game after just a few seconds and a pep talk.
Got a yellow star for sportsmanship. Coach Kasey said it was because when he got hit in the eye he could have turned around and decked the little boy but he did not.
Got many shots at the basket. Made 4 goals. Whoohoo for 8 pts. (ummm but who's counting)

Upward 2010 1st Game

Our first game was this past weekend and we all had a blast! Nana and Slick even got to come too. It was at 9:30 in the morning and there were 8 little boys in blue and orange jerseys that were ready to play. First there was the run out where they would say the child's favorite color, food, subject, tv show, etc then call out their name...they would then run thru a tunnel with smoke and down the spirit line (made by all the parents/spectators.) Lots of fun!

A devotional is held at half-time and the kids that are playing in that game sit on the court.

Carson made one goal - whoohoo...the first of many I'm sure!
