more cabin time...ahhhh

We have been spending some good quality time at the cabin...it is nice! Carson and Gage have been taking medicine in the form of pills. So when Toby opened his skittles candy and poured it into his cup...he told me it was "his pill candy." I just had to laugh!

I am crafty (or I like to consider myself that) so I try to make my kids crafty too!
I love to make homemade "to and from" cards for presents...well this year I have helpers!

Watching daddy build a fire...Harley is quite interest too! Yep, the dogs go down to the cabin with us too...Maggie and Harley just load right up on the golfcarts too. They expect to go!

Mornings are chilly down there...still in jamamas (our word for PJs) with "fairy hair" warming up by the wood stove. It will heat up this place like an oven!

I'm sure Thanksgiving week we will be down there a lot!

2 nights at cabin

We stayed 2 nights at the cabin...the 5 of us. Meg was off with a friend for the weekend.

Making LOUD noises on the porch...while we chilled out inside!

Gage kept saying "I wanna sleep uptop." Well he couldn't until his daddy did this for him to keep him safe. So thankful I married a "handy man."

Toby was getting teased when Daddy was tucking him in his sleeping bag on the couch.

Brad was looking for something under the couch and popped it back without the boys knowing what he was doing...it caught them all by surprise!

Fun times...lots of memories made!

After the youth party, Bailey (Megan's new friend) and Megan took Gage and Toby for a ride.

This is Bailey. Toby loves Bailey. It makes Megan jealous that Toby loves Bailey so much. I just laugh b/c I love that Bailey loves Toby sooo much.

quick shower...

My boys love a summer rain shower! It's the best. Especially naked as jaybirds. Holy Cow Ihave some country boys, but I wouldn't trade in any day. I love that they can do this....

Bradley feels the exact same way and that is why our house is over 1/2 a mile from the road. O and the road is a very country road and we are the last house on that road...real country!
These 2 guys are a mess...and I just love it!

We got home from school and it was so hot...

all three boys begged to go swim in the lake...
how can you say "no" to these cute faces...

Maggie loves to play in the water...

and so does Miss Harley!

I'm thankful that we have a fun, free place to chill when we got hot! Nana and Slick do have a pool...but county boys like the lake and jumping off the picnic table as a diving board.

Another turkey, Crazy Gage, and "Go Toby!"

Brad and Phil went hunting and got a nice small bird. We ate him for supper a few nights later...yum BBQ turkey bites on the grill! We (our friend Joe Toney does) season and grill them. When they are done we put them in a pan of BBQ sauce on the grill and let them simmer!

First Swim of the Year!

They begged and begged and (you guessed it) begged some more to go in the lake. We gave it! They had a blast as long as they were jumping off the pier into the water continuously. But once they stopped to think about what they were doing...they got cold! (note: they wraps on Carson and Toby's heads is called Ear Bandit and they are awesome. they both still have their left tubes in their ears so we will wear these wraps this summer too when we go in the lake)

Toby was such a dude and not scared at all.

Our cousins were down this weekend and Toby and Charley are big buddies! This little man was so big and brave!

GG would be so proud of the excellent form...toes pointed and feet together.

We got a pontoon boat!

"Glo" and Mr. Jim brought us a new toy. It's a homemade pontoon boat. Mr. Jim's boys made it many years ago and it has been sitting in his yard for 15 years. He told Brad he wanted to bring it our lake at Christmas. Well...I did not know that we were going to get to keep it. I just thought Mr. Jim wanted to try it out. It is a fun toy for my 4 country boys!

Mr. Jim and Brad put it in the water so we could give it a test run. We put the trolling motor on it. Brad tried it first to make sure it wasn't going to sink...it didn't.
The boys were dying to get on...especially Toby when he saw that brothers were loading up!
