Party at the Governor's Mansion

Magnolia Speech School got a special invitation to the Governor's Mansion for an Easter party. We were the only school there. It was so special! There were so many things there for us to do and it was all decorate up like and Easter party with even fancy party foods!
While we were waiting to take a Magnolia group picture on the front steps I found the Easter Bunny and had to get my picture with him!
The had bunnies and chicks for all the kids to pet. Carson picked up one of the baby chicks and said "we have about 80 of these at our house right now!" The lady just looked very surprised. I assured her that he was telling the truth! (my little county farm boy)
They got to get their faces painted...and that was really fun for Carson. It was the second time he had this done in a week (and the second time in his life.) He now thinks that we are suppose to paint faces when we hunt eggs. He already has our Easter festivities planned...I have to paint faces before we hunt for eggs.
The First Lady...Marsha Barbour and Carson
Miss Jessica's class with the Easter Bunny!
The Simpson County Crew: Avery, Taylor, Hunter, and Carson on front steps of the Mansion
Love this picture of the 4 of them...
There was a train ride that took them around the Governor's Mansion.
Then I got a chance to talk to Governor Haley Barbour about how special Magnolia Speech School is to our famiy...and it is VERY special!
Inky the Clown made Carson a red sword...he waited to patiently for it!
So glad that I was able to join them for the special day of fun that I will never forget and so glad that I got so many pictures so that I can always remind Carson of what a special day it was!

Magnolia Christmas Program

One of my most favorite days of the year is the Magnolia Christmas Program. It just warms my heart to see all of the children who by prayers, technology, and Magnolia Speech School can SPEAK and HEAR! It is just amazing and will just give you goosebumps all over if you ever attend a performance. I tear up everytime I go to one...you just can't help it.
One of my friends now has a child that also attends. Liza and I had a great time catching up for about an hour and a half before the performance started. You must get there early to get a good seat. It was great to have her (and her husband) sitting there behind us getting to experience the whole thing too! I went to check out what Carson's class was doing and just as I was getting there...Santa was too! It was fun to get some cute pictures of the class while Santa gave them all presents and also Ms. Addie got pictures with all of the on Santa's lap.

The whole class...Ms. Denice, Lain, Carson, Ms. Jessica, Demarrius, Cameron, Jonathan, and Freddie.
Avery is the cute bunny in the middle and Hunter is the little sheep.
Caiden did great on his speaking part..."STAR!"
Carson came out just cheesing it! It was great. He did such a good job on his solo too. Tears were just running down my cheeks as I was trying to video tape it.
Singing Happy Birthday Jesus. (a Magnolia Speech School tradition)

Carson's Magnolia Birthday

When we got back from Harry the Potter and CiCi's Pizza we had Carson's 6th birthday party at school It was all about Power Rangers! Miss Jessica is his sweet teacher.

Cameron gave him a Power Rangers toy. These two are thick!
When Carson realized what the present was he was so excited that he grabbed Cameron and gave him the biggest hug ever! It was too sweet!
Demarrius and Carson with his new Nerf gun!
Carson and Freddie with a cool basketball game.
The crew (Jonathan, Demarrius, Carson, Freddie, and Cameron)...wild, crazy boys!
Glad we turned the video or you would have had to turn your heade sideways the entire time!

we love cici's pizza

After Harry the Potter we went to CiCi's Pizza.

Thankgoodness they had cartoons going in there. All the adults were able to eat while they were glued to the television...whoohoo!
I mean glued to the television...
Carson knew we were going to CiCi's Pizza. His favorite thing is not the food but the racing car game in the gameroom! He went to his room (to check out his money stash) and came back and counted it out all to me. He said "mama I only have $4 and I need $6 because that is how many people we have in our class." He wanted to make sure all his friends got to play the game and not just him. That was too sweet. So I told him very quickly not to worry about any of the money that because he was so sweet and concerned about his friends that mama would take care of the $6. This boy was pumped when the adults got thru eating and it was time to ride!
Carson and all his Magnolia buddies...
