a funny

I got this "funny" in an email that Carla sent me the other day. It was when we were at Mac's Christening Service...

i forgot to tell you! when carson was sitting next to me on Sunday he leaned over right before the services started and whispered.
"yaya is somebody getting married?" I said "no Carson"
then he said, "yaya is Mac getting married?"

it took all that Sam had to keep a straight face. I loved it and can't wait to write that in his baby book!

awe how sweet

Carson is still so proud of his little flower in my wine glass. He made Brad and I take a picture with it the other day. So here it is! Look in the background...thanks Bradley for all of your bad habits that you instill in our children. Gage and Carson do this with the apple juice and koolaid containers...I guess you pick your battles. Life is WAY too short to yell, scream, and fuss all the time...I pick my battles and this is not one I care about fighting!

trimming trees

Once a year Mom and Brad trim the16 live oak trees that line our driveway...hence the name of our road...Live Oak Lane. They have really grown since last year. Brad had to use the chainsaw this year for most of the trimming instead of clippers and loppers. Gage wanted to help!
Mom canceling plans for lunch with a friend so she could stay and play on the farm with Brad.
Ummm...love this new pic of Toby! He wandered off to the barn and this is where I found him.
Snacktime on the roof of the little red truck.
Bradley up in his pretty trees.

Upward 2010 Game 3

Game 3 went good. Carson made 2 baskets. They are really learning the "game" of basketball. It is a very complicated game to learn for a kindergarden team.
Mom says that she can always find Carson in the pictures...just find the RED shoes!
Coach Casey had to work at the bank. Brad was her fill in coach and he did a great job.
After the game, we all lined up to form the spirit line to support the next 2 games. Nana, Slick, and GG were able to come watch Carson play.
Ummm...look who dressed themselves. All the way down to the cowboy boots. O and he was so proud of his fashion statement that he was making.

Marans Eggs

Check out these eggs we got from Soso (yes that's the name of the town). They are the darkest brown eggs with speckles that I've ever seen in person...very cool! They are Marans eggs. They will be black and white speckled chickens much like Barred Rock. Well, I hope that we have a good hatch rate. I guess we will see in 21 days...I'll keep you posted!

Baseball Practice

batter, batter, batter....swing!
We got to do a little baseball practice one afternoon.
Hit that ball Gage-man! Maggie watches all the action.
Toby just walks around with the old (dog chewed on) bat.
This boy loves some baseball.
He is getting really good at batting.
Our outfielders are Nana and Slick and the pitcher is Daddy.
Toby (with a nose that needs to be wiped) playing in the rocks.

Designer Jeans by GG

I was fixing Gage's hair the other morning and I combed it over to the side. We both just started laughing. Then I really was about to fix it and he objected! I had to do the comb-over for Lolas.
Oh and I must show off the "new" jeans we have. They were just your basic blue jeans but then he was playing at GG's outside on some bricks and ripped a big whole in the booty. So...GG was going to patch them up. She did more than that though...now they have stars and a bear on them. They are super cool jeans for a 3yr old!
The star on the booty is actually covering up the rip. Oh and the boots he has on are a size 101/2 and he wears a size 12 tennis shoe...yikes. But he loves them and swears that they don't hurt his feet...he wears them about 4 times a week. Don't worry he is getting a new pair of boots for his birthday in March!
O and the Braves t-shirt just happens to match perfectly with this jeans. So GG was really excited that we now have a matching outfit...if you know my mom you know that this would make her smile really big! Thanks GG for your sewing skills!
