Happy Birthday Joan!

Happy Birthday to You!
Happy Birthday to You!
You mean more to me than you'll ever know...
Happy Birthday to You!

Joan P. White is a special person.
She started out as my tennis coach when I was 5 yrs old with my matching outfits all the way down to my coordinating ribbons in my hair...she coached me all the way thru high school to win South State and State doubles. Then coached me (over the phone) thru college tennis when I played #1 singles and doubles at MC. But that is only touching the surface of how this lady has played a part in my life...for the past 12 yrs I have talked to her on the phone sometimes daily and other times just a few time per week. She knows all about me and I love that! I'm so appreciative of the love and support that she has given me not just in the past 12 years but since we met, while she was teaching me tennis even with my matching ribbons in my hair!
I love you Joan P. White! ~amy

Just a sneak peek...

One of my long time awesome friends came down to my house to photograph my family. She did an awesome job. I want to promote her and her wonderful abilities to take beautiful pictures and capture the moment! Her name is Liza Young. Check her out and give her a call!
Mac in my mom's old wagon she played with as a child.
Carla and her Minnie-Me Mac
Love this pic of us...especially of Bradley!
Bradley and Gage being silly.
This would be the day where Toby found his nose. Never has done this before and started today! It was funny and very appropriate that Liza caught it!
This girl is good...I'm telling you. This is only the sneak peek that she sent me. Can't wait to see all the group pics of the 11 of us and also the ones of my family. You can't go wrong calling on her to capture your family memories!

Seagulls and Slides

My boys love to feed the seagulls when we are on the beach. They will get so close.
Toby would run at them with a chip in hand hollering "eat bird, eat bird."
Then we went to Keesler Airforce Base and played on their awesome/amazing playgound!
Gage...aka Monkey
Look at all the static in Toby's hair!

My purpose for going...

Rita (aka Mammie) was my true purpose in going to Mom's on the beach. Rita and Mom were college roommates and have been super close ever since. I was in college in NW Ark and spent my weekends and lots more time at her house. She took me in like her 3rd daughter...lots of fun memories at her house with her family. I have not layed eyes on her since Gage was 4 months old. That was WAY too long b/c she is so special to me. So when I heard that she was coming to visit mom for a long weekend...I planned my trip to visit for the day. We had such a fun time and I loved that we got to catch up and that she got to know my 2 youngest boys.

Want a good laugh...check out this video. Gage was "dancing" on the beach...but looked more like a fish out of water "dancing" on the beach to me. This boy is so crazy!

One Fish, Two Fish...

Gage and Toby were not scared or bashful about the water...they jumped right in!
Gage said, "hey Mama, watch me jump over the big river!"
Toby was not scared (neither was Gage for that matter) so I had to be extra cautious. The waves would wipe them out and they would jump up with a funny face and go back for more.
Acting like beached whales...
These boys had so much fun. Simple things make thems happy. Simple things make me happy...like watching them just be in the moment and love life!
Can't wait for more Saturday's at the beach this summer...

All washed up...

This "cool" object washed up from the ocean deep and has been on the beach for about a month now. My boys thought it was super cool...so we had to walk down and check it out. It is really a piece of the floation device that is on the dredging barges.
My boys thought it was a playground...and they were pirates.
Yes, Mom and I were trying to be artsy with our photos...
Gage looking at the dead fish head that someone put on top and it stunk really bad...
T
Toby like jumping off of it and then climbing back up. I love imagination and my boys had it on this "thing" that was all washed up!

Day at the beach...

Gage, Toby, and I loaded up Saturday morning and headed off to the beach (the MS Gulf Coast) to GG and Tops. We had lots of fun. Got to visit with a very special person. Not to mention getting to see Mom and Ken. Visited the beach and a cool playground. You will get to experience it all too this week if you would like to stop in each morning...enjoy our sunny day with us!

These kiddos are very easy to please. Two cool whip tubs and four ship island cups is all the sand toys we had...o and I guess the mcdonalds plastic cup we picked up to collect "treasures."
Toby found some seaweed that Gage said looked like boogers...ugh...I have such boys!
Toby being a ham and absolutely and totally enjoying himself!
These 2 played and played for over 3 hrs on the beach. They played hard too!
Where was Carson you ask? O he was having a great time too. He was with Slick and Nana across the pasture from our house. That boy is about as bad as his daddy about not wanting to leave the Smith Family Farm and Country Club! But the other two are sitting on go...ready for just about any adventure I dream up or offer to them...
