ImagineIt! Children's Museum

While we were at that aquarium Carson kept asking me to go to the Children's Museum to play for the trains. I told him very sternly "do not ask me again, we are going to look at all the fish and enjoy it and then we will talk about the children's museum." So...we were eating lunch at the aquarium and about to go thru Ocean Voyager (the big underwater tunnel), Carson turns to me as says "Mama I have been really good and looked at fish, can we go to the children's museum now?" I smiled and said "ask your daddy" b/c I did not know if Brad was really up to it. Well Carson turns to Brad and asks him the same question. He smiled at him and said "give me 5 man." There was the biggest smile on Carson's face. He was patient and got what he wanted and here is what he got to experience!
They had a farming section...the boys loved driving the tractor.
Carson and Gage had fun here...they would pull the flats up on the inside and then load groceries up and put them down the roller ramp and then load them all up again. Carson said that Gage was his "workerman". HA

This was neat and right up Brad alley...building stuff!

This is the coolest stuff...moon sand! It is like sand but also like clay. You can mold it but it doesn't stick to your hands and it is not gritty. Gage love this section and we stayed here for about 15 mintues and make tall towers.
THIS is where Carson first fell in loved with trains 2 years ago. He still remembers it and everytime we visit Atlanta he asks if we can go to the Children's Museum to play with the trains.

Gage is my budding little artist! He loved the painting section of the museum.

My boys right before we left. We are bad...we took the picture THEN told them we had to go. I would have never gotten a good picture if we would have told them before b/c you should have seen them after we told them we had to go. They loved this place...as any kid would!

Georgia Aquarium

I got Bradley out of town for about 2 days at the beginning of Spring Break. We had a great time as a family. Sylvia (my godmother) kept Toby while we took the older 2 to the Georgia Aquarium. It was such a fun experience. I took Carson 2 years ago but Brad and Gage had never been before.
These fish were right in the entrance. They were on both sides of the room and they swam in a school. It was so neat when they would change directions b/c they would all do it at the same time.
Well...look who we ran into! Just kidding we talked the week prior and made plans to meet here and say hello before checking out the aquarium. Oh...and let me tell you Riley is such a doll! It was so nice to see you Nikki and Gerald!

Gage and Deepo the Fish. Everytime Gage sees this picture though he says "hey look Mama, it's Nemo"

The boys were very fascinated with the alligators just "hanging out" on the top of the water.

The 3D movie was GREAT! The best part was watching Gage and Carson trying to catch the bubbles and swat at the fish when they swam close up. Oh and they jumped 3 feet in the air when the water shot out and the air blew under the seats. Brad and I could not quit laughing.

Brad and Gage checking out all the fish in the underwater tunnel.

We got a pass to go back and see the penquins. Great idea Gerald...thanks for the push to go do it. They really performed for us when we got back there. They had a nemo swim toy that they were playing with. The boys were very interested in them and their actions.

My cool jellyfish picture!

fun afternoon before the cold front came thru...

Gage-in-the-Box

Gage gave sidewalk chalk as favors for his party and we had some left over to play with . If you look hard (and upsidedown) you can see Carson's name written in cursive.

Gage's masterpiece of "tall towers" he says...

Carson LOVES Maggie and Maggie loves any attention she can get!

I love to grow pansies in the winter

Pilchard (crazy name but it's Bob the Builder's cats name) and we are obsessed with Bob the Builder at our house.

Toby is "helping" us fill up the water bucket for the chickens.

Some of my chickens...

Carson has started learning to throw a fishing pole. There is a black spider on the end of this line so he can practice and it drives the cats crazy. Carson was making her go up the trampoline poles to try to attack the spider. It was really a funny site.

Golfcart Adventure on the New Trails

One of our favorite activities on the farm is golfcart riding down all of our trails. They are all named after family members. Brad and Slick made 2 new trails and we were all home on Monday afternoon and decided to all go check them out together. The weather was so pretty and it was a very nice ride. Here are some of the pictures from our adventure...enjoy
And we are off...Carson is opening the gate for us to ride on through the big fence. All the boys elected to ride with Nana and Slick so Brad and I got to ride along for once and it was nice experience that I don't get to experience too much right now.

Brad and I are following behind...can't you tell. Brad is telling Gage that he is going to get him and it gets Gage all excited!
Slick, Carson, and Gage dropping off water and Coke at the cabin...

Brad and Slick made this awesome new trail. While they were building it Brad spotted this cool tree in this swampy area and he knew I would love it. Oh course he was right!

Carson out by the swamp.

Gage counting to three and jumping off like a crazy man.

Slick did not go fast enough through this wet area and got my golfcart stuck.

Wild Jasmine is blooming...
Going thru the pines...we were going pretty fast and it was bumpy so that is why the picture is blurry. We have returned to the Smith's house ready to grill some burgers. Apache and Misty are grazing in the rye grass pasture with the 3 ducks.
Jed is totally worn out after the long run on all of the trails.

"I am three"

Gage is too funny. He turned 3 on Monday. If you ask him how old he is he says "three" but he holds up his 2 index fingers. Since Carson is in big school he learns about all of the current events. We have been talking about the new President and Carson can say it so pretty. If you ask Gage who the President is he replies "Bach O'Mama".

Fishing Fun

The boys have gotten into fishing since the weather has warmed up. The lake thankfullly is right down the hill from our house. Brad doesn't have to go far to jump in his boat and throw a little in the afternoon. We were all on the pier fishing (Toby and I supervising once again of course) and Brad and I saw a fish moving around on the banks after a smaller fish. Brad threw over there...and this is what he caught. An 8-9 lb bass...go Bradley!

Brad had gotten Carson a fishing pole a few months back but Carson really just took interest finally today. There was a plastic spider on the end like bait...Brad taught Carson how to throw the fishing pole. He practiced all afternoon and got really good at it. Then we were letting him practice on the pier with his plastic spider. Gage thought it was funny and kept laughing at him. Plus they kept the cats totally entertained all afternoon...the cats loved running after the plastic spider. But here is Carson reeling in his line...I'm proud of him learning how to throw the pole so quick!
Toby was enjoying watching everyone fish and really loved it when Bradley caught the BIG fish. He is just happy to be a part of whatever we do.

Happy 3rd Birthday Gage

Gage wanted a big dinosaur birthday party and that is exactly what he got! He had so much fun today playing with his friends all over the yard. Eating cake and ice cream was not really on the agenda for this little guys today.

Big Dinosaur Birthday Cake!

Gage and Avery being silly. Gage got binoculars, lots of guns and balls, and 2 magnifying glasses for his birthday. He has a new found interest in magnifying glasses...go figure.
