Gage & GG

Gage and GG had their own special time together too. I had a craft idea and GG ran with it!
They made creatures...how cute!
I'm actually using these and a few more I created at Manna Monday "Fall Table Scapes" at church tonight at my table that I'm creating. I have to set a table for a fall scene and invite 7 people to sit at my table. I have filled up my table with great friends. I hope to have a cute fun table scene...we will see! I will take pics to show you...

Carson & GG

GG picked Carson up at school last week and treated him to an afternoon at the zoo.
He was super excited about the carosel and the train.
He told me he made this monkey make funny faces at him.
He had so much to tell me about when he got home from his little trip to the zoo with GG.
This spider web playground is a fun ending to a fun trip.

Gage is at GG's

My middle little boy (Gage-man) is at GG and Top's tonight. I drove him down to H'burg this afternoon to meet my parents 1/2 way. GG did it up right...had him a Sprite in a new racecar sippy cup, gummy worms, and a new blue fuzzy pillow. They have big plans tomorrow...heading out on the ferry and exploring Ship Island. If you ask Gage he says "me and GG are going out on this huge boat to a cool island to find lots of treasures...maybe I'll find a sword or a cool gun." I can't wait to hear all of the adventures these 2 will be up to tomorrow. I'm loving their relationship...

Fun Beach Day Part 3

Ugh...teenagers! I said (right before I took this pic) "Megan do not stick your tongue out!"
Megan got this shot of me and my boys...the sign read "danger do not climb or play on culvert" well...and you know we did just that!
After the beach and a dip in John's pool...we decided to go to the splash park. Glad we decided to go when we did b/c about 10 minutes after we got there we had to leave b/c of a thunderstorm. But we had fun while we were there and plan to return next time!
Lots of fun memories were made at our day at the beach...we will be back VERY soon!

Fun Beach Day Part 2

When you have a day at the beach with GG you always have to make a sandcastle...
Moat and all must be included...also a flag made out of a stick and big leaf! Notice where Toby was pouring water on the part of the sandcastle where it is caving in...ugh Toby (being a typical 2 year old) Gotta love him!
Playing in the water to cool off a bit.
Sweet kisses from Gage...
Toby was not going to be left out of the kissing session. Carson was more concerned about trying to lay on GG's back and float then hand out kisses...

Fun Beach Day Part 1

I took this crew to the beach and lots of fun was had!
There were pocket jellyfish everywhere and Gage had lot of fun collecting them in a bucket. He was so proud of them and then they all spilled out in my lawn chair...ugh!
Toby was just proud to be there and be the destroyer of sandcastles...
Carson said he wasn't digging a hole to China when I asked him...he said he was just building "something" but I never figured out what that "something" was.
Megan decided to carve her name in the sand.
This girl is just fitting right in with our crew and I love it. God is good!

Seagulls and Slides

My boys love to feed the seagulls when we are on the beach. They will get so close.
Toby would run at them with a chip in hand hollering "eat bird, eat bird."
Then we went to Keesler Airforce Base and played on their awesome/amazing playgound!
Gage...aka Monkey
Look at all the static in Toby's hair!

My purpose for going...

Rita (aka Mammie) was my true purpose in going to Mom's on the beach. Rita and Mom were college roommates and have been super close ever since. I was in college in NW Ark and spent my weekends and lots more time at her house. She took me in like her 3rd daughter...lots of fun memories at her house with her family. I have not layed eyes on her since Gage was 4 months old. That was WAY too long b/c she is so special to me. So when I heard that she was coming to visit mom for a long weekend...I planned my trip to visit for the day. We had such a fun time and I loved that we got to catch up and that she got to know my 2 youngest boys.

Want a good laugh...check out this video. Gage was "dancing" on the beach...but looked more like a fish out of water "dancing" on the beach to me. This boy is so crazy!

One Fish, Two Fish...

Gage and Toby were not scared or bashful about the water...they jumped right in!
Gage said, "hey Mama, watch me jump over the big river!"
Toby was not scared (neither was Gage for that matter) so I had to be extra cautious. The waves would wipe them out and they would jump up with a funny face and go back for more.
Acting like beached whales...
These boys had so much fun. Simple things make thems happy. Simple things make me happy...like watching them just be in the moment and love life!
Can't wait for more Saturday's at the beach this summer...

All washed up...

This "cool" object washed up from the ocean deep and has been on the beach for about a month now. My boys thought it was super cool...so we had to walk down and check it out. It is really a piece of the floation device that is on the dredging barges.
My boys thought it was a playground...and they were pirates.
Yes, Mom and I were trying to be artsy with our photos...
Gage looking at the dead fish head that someone put on top and it stunk really bad...
T
Toby like jumping off of it and then climbing back up. I love imagination and my boys had it on this "thing" that was all washed up!

Day at the beach...

Gage, Toby, and I loaded up Saturday morning and headed off to the beach (the MS Gulf Coast) to GG and Tops. We had lots of fun. Got to visit with a very special person. Not to mention getting to see Mom and Ken. Visited the beach and a cool playground. You will get to experience it all too this week if you would like to stop in each morning...enjoy our sunny day with us!

These kiddos are very easy to please. Two cool whip tubs and four ship island cups is all the sand toys we had...o and I guess the mcdonalds plastic cup we picked up to collect "treasures."
Toby found some seaweed that Gage said looked like boogers...ugh...I have such boys!
Toby being a ham and absolutely and totally enjoying himself!
These 2 played and played for over 3 hrs on the beach. They played hard too!
Where was Carson you ask? O he was having a great time too. He was with Slick and Nana across the pasture from our house. That boy is about as bad as his daddy about not wanting to leave the Smith Family Farm and Country Club! But the other two are sitting on go...ready for just about any adventure I dream up or offer to them...
