Jack-0-Lantern

First time to check out his jack-0-lanterns...Toby thought they were super cool. He loves fire though. I finally put a candle inside a day after Halloween...
Toby wanted his kitty Miss Bertie in the picture too. She stayed for a minute...
But then she was off...
I thought that they turned out really neat! So did Toby...the others were too busy doing other things to really care...but they all fought over who was going to blow the candles out!

Carving Pumpkins

We carved pumpkins this year. I guess it will be a new tradition b/c the kids liked it. I made them clean out the "guts." Ugh! Carson is the one who demanded that we carve pumpkins!
Nana came out to help with the project with I sooo appreciated!
We did not do much planning...just cut then top off, scrap out guts, freehand with a knife the faces. For 2 pumpkins it took like 25 minutes. Fast...
Gage with his pumpkin
Toby kissing the pumpkin
Crazy faces with the pumpkins
Finally a cute one of Toby with the pumpkins even though he is finishing his ice cream sandwich which he was not going to let go of without a fight...so I picked my battle!
Yes, one pumpkin had buck teeth...Carson's request.

Gage and Natalie (and Toby)

Gage (oh my) is going to drive me crazy. Natalie is one of his little girlfriends at Shelia's.
They just get "giddy" when they see each other. She always give me so many hugs. Her mom knew right where to find her when she say Gage running around the gym.
Ummm...Toby thought she was a pretty little girl too and wanted his picture with her!
Finally a cute pic where they are no sooo teased! I love seeing Gage interact with his friends...it is so neat watching this little guy grow up...even thougt he will be the one to give me gray hair!

Our Happy Easter!

We had a fun day on our farm. We woke up, the Easter Bunny hides their baskets so they had to find them around the living room...found the baskets, went thru the baskets, got ready for church, and had a wonderful church service. Came home and ate leftovers (yay I did not have to cook), played outside, went riding on golfcart, hunted Easter eggs with Joe and his crew (pics to come), and then ate hamburgers from the grill on Joe's porch. It was a perfect Easter together with my 4 boys on our farm. FUN!
My 3 youngest handsome boys right before heading out to church...
I hope you had a very happy Easter!

Party at the Governor's Mansion

Magnolia Speech School got a special invitation to the Governor's Mansion for an Easter party. We were the only school there. It was so special! There were so many things there for us to do and it was all decorate up like and Easter party with even fancy party foods!
While we were waiting to take a Magnolia group picture on the front steps I found the Easter Bunny and had to get my picture with him!
The had bunnies and chicks for all the kids to pet. Carson picked up one of the baby chicks and said "we have about 80 of these at our house right now!" The lady just looked very surprised. I assured her that he was telling the truth! (my little county farm boy)
They got to get their faces painted...and that was really fun for Carson. It was the second time he had this done in a week (and the second time in his life.) He now thinks that we are suppose to paint faces when we hunt eggs. He already has our Easter festivities planned...I have to paint faces before we hunt for eggs.
The First Lady...Marsha Barbour and Carson
Miss Jessica's class with the Easter Bunny!
The Simpson County Crew: Avery, Taylor, Hunter, and Carson on front steps of the Mansion
Love this picture of the 4 of them...
There was a train ride that took them around the Governor's Mansion.
Then I got a chance to talk to Governor Haley Barbour about how special Magnolia Speech School is to our famiy...and it is VERY special!
Inky the Clown made Carson a red sword...he waited to patiently for it!
So glad that I was able to join them for the special day of fun that I will never forget and so glad that I got so many pictures so that I can always remind Carson of what a special day it was!
